Honiton Fine Art : 19th Century Watercolour Paintings

A fine woodland scene by Widgery, William (1822 - 1895). This is one of his best and largest works. He exhibited in London during the 1860's. He was an Exeter based landscape and animal painter, and painted in Devon and Cornwall.

William Widgery was the father of F.J.Widgery.

A fine pair of cathedral scenes in Germany by Allen, William Hubert. He was born in 1863. He was a Gold and Bronze medallist at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. He exhibited extensively in major London galleries.

The picture to the right is of Nuremberg Cathedral.

It is signed and inscribed by the artist. It is in its original nineteenth century frame. Picture size 14ins x 20.5ins, frame size 22.5ins x 29ins.
